Sayan, aged 27, is the youngest member of the Chatterjee family. He does not wish to join the family construction business and prefers to pursue his academics as a lecturer at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.
Sayan is soft spoken and has a keen academic bent of mind. Though he is compelled to join the family business, his mind is always pre-occupied with the softer and literary elements of life.
In due course, Sayan becomes the head of the family business and therefore becomes irritable and hot-tempered. However, inspite of his hectic corporate lifestyle he continues to pursue his interests.
